Our client owns and manages over 9,000 properties in Somerset, Devon and Dorset.
We are currently seeking a Community Safety Manager to join our team based in Yeovil, Somerset. The main purpose of this role is to take a comprehensive approach to managing anti-social behaviour, harassment and breaches of tenancy conditions, ensuring that our approach to community safety demonstrates good practice, innovation and service excellence. Within this role your main responsibilities will include leading, inspiring and developing the Community Safety Team to ensure that excellent service is delivered, maintaining service standards, monitoring customer satisfaction and recommending and implementing successful plans and projects to prevent anti-social behaviour. You will also be expected to undertake investigations into allegations of anti-social behaviour, promote community safety initiatives and advise local communities of action that can be taken to address incidents of anti-social behaviour and / or harassment.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have a good standard of general education. It would be advantageous for you to be degree level qualified in a relevant subject and be studying for or gained CIH qualification, although this is not essential. You will have experience of dealing with anti-social behaviour and will have a track record of successfully delivering results and raising standards along with leading projects / teams to achieve a successful outcome. You must be a confident user of MS office and have some relevant housing experience with RSL. A strong communicator, you will be confident when dealing with people at all levels and you will understand the importance of working confidentially and with sensitivity.
You must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. You must also be able to undertake national and regional travel as necessary.
Due to the nature of this post, the successful applicant will have their background checked with the CRB to ensure suitability.
