Just three months into the year and we have conducted our second networking event, recruited 3 new Client Relations Managers and have been nominated for 2 OnRec awards.
For the benefit of candidates, we have added a new personal touch with the newly introduced congratulations cards. Sent to all successful candidates upon acceptance of an offer, the personalised card will further enhance an already first class candidate experience.
In the last few months, networx have witnessed a considerable increase in the number of companies that are keen to capitalise on the new apoint technology combined with the highly effective Sourcing & Response Management service. Although appealing to a vast array of industries, Housing associations are the most represented industry sector in the latest influx of clients.
The option to advertise vacancies on a wider selection of the most appropriate online job boards (including diversity sites) without the associated costs is obviously a key benefit of the service but it is believed that it is the apoint technology, which makes it quick and simple to also list vacancies on their own corporate website, that is the primary benefit to our Housing Association clients.
The complete package also offers the following benefits:
However with the number of new apoint clients increasing rapidly on a monthly basis, it is not just Housing Associations that are aware of the clear benefits. In fact in the last few weeks other companies choosing to adopt apoint include a utilities company, a commercial vehicle manufacturer, an eye treatment provider, an electrical warehouse and a metal manufacturing company plus many more.
Commenting on the latest apoint clients, Director Andy Pierson said:
"We are obviously thrilled regarding the success that apoint has achieved in such a short period of time. The levels of success we are experiencing just proves how beneficial the technology is to the SME and highlights the competitive advantage we have within the market."
"We operate a multimillion-pound business, which utilises the same apoint technology everyday, so we know that it provides exactly what our clients need."
According to a recent survey conducted by Employment Review, the majority of employers believe that making better use of online recruitment is the best way to save money when attracting candidates.
The report showed that by simply altering just one or two aspects of online recruitment often delivered the most effective outcomes for candidate attraction.
Better use of corporate websites and the use of generic/specialist job boards were key factors in helping deliver substantial cost savings to businesses.
Whilst half the employers questioned found that making improvements to their corporate website was a highly successful way of increasing volume of applications, increasing the use of job boards was considered to be a particularly successful means of increasing diversity of applications.

The bi-annual survey into the status of graduate recruitment, released by the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), reveals that vacancies are on the increase for the fifth year running, in spite of uncertainties regarding the UK's current economic situation.
The Association of Graduate Recruiters Winter Review 2008 (the definitive, independent survey of the UK's leading employers of graduates) revealed that the number of vacancies anticipated for graduates entering the market into graduate level jobs this year will increase by 16.4%. Salaries for entrants will also increase, by a median of 2.1 %, around the level of inflation, bringing the median salary for graduates to £24,000.
However, despite such encouraging statistics, recruiters still envisage they will face difficulties in filling all vacancies, with 67% anticipating challenges. The reasons attributed for this include graduates' perception of the business sector and their increasing selectiveness, and for employers, not enough applicants with the right skills. Conversely, a quarter of recruiters are now actively marketing their UK vacancies to overseas graduates, with the principle reason for this being 'to recruit the very best talent that is available'.
As Graduates have more choice than ever before, employers will be forced to be even more creative with their attraction methods whilst fine-tuning their response management and assessment processes.
76% of companies already anticipate problems filling their vacancies.
If you are planning on running a Graduate vacancy this year prepare early and look at the options available to you. Whether your strategy is already established or you are looking to introduce a new approach, competing for tomorrow's talent is going to be difficult.
networx have been recruiting Graduates for a number of years now and our approach is highly successful. Taking care of both attracting quality candidates and conducting the most appropriate selection and assessment process, networx' Graduate Recruitment service provides a highly efficient cost effective solution.
