The new networx website now includes information relating to each of our 4 recruitment solutions; Sourcing & Response Management service, Graduate Recruitment Service, apoint e-recruitment solution and apoint+ e-recruitment solution. Commenting on the new website, Director Andy Pierson stated:

“The last couple of months have proved to be a very exciting time for networx and the launch of the website is just one of many projects that we have been looking at.

We are constantly focusing on improving the experience for both clients and candidates and we now have big plans for the development of our candidate section, which will be launched in the next couple of months.

October 1st 2007 was our 6th birthday and the new look website reflects how we have evolved over the years. We now promote 4 established services to our loyal client base and with a turnover this year of 2.5 million we are happy with how 2007 has been for networx. Next year you will definitely see a lot more of networx as we have plans for substantial growth”

What they Say ? what we think!

Jobseekers use Internet first but employers fail to make the most of online applications

24th September 2007 10:25 ? (Personnel Today)

What they say:

The Internet is the first port of call for jobseekers, yet employers are still damaging their employer brand when it comes to dealing with online applications, a survey has found.

According to the latest Total Forum report - a study of 1,198 jobseekers by online recruitment site totaljobs.com - 80% of jobseekers look online before anywhere else, up from 66% in 2005. Regional newspapers follow, with 52% using this source.

The volume of online applications is also rising. More than half of those polled had applied for a job online, while a third had applied for between one and five jobs within the past month.

Yet despite this high level of online activity, it appears that the majority of recruiters are damaging their employer brand by failing to have the courtesy to responds to applicants.

Three-quarters of those polled did not receive a response or acknowledgement from employers after applying for a job.

John Salt, website director for totaljobs.com, said: “Five years ago business was ahead of consumers in terms of Internet sophistication, but now the tables have turned. Employers understand the value of online applications, but the majority haven?t transferred customer relationship management principles to the online recruitment cycle.”

The report also gave an insight into exactly who was using the Internet to find work revealing an increasing trend towards more experienced and professional jobseekers using the Web. Some 41% of online jobseekers are now at managerial level or above, an increase of 5% since the last report.

What we think

At networx we understand that something a simple as acknowledging an application can be of great benefit to both candidate and client alike. Whilst quality candidates can be deterred from looking for alternative positions, the client presents a high level of professionalism. However we also realise that for most companies, sending acknowledgements to all applicants regardless of their suitability can be extremely time consuming: especially when multiple vacancies each attract hundreds of applicants. Networx help companies do exactly this. Through our Sourcing & Response Management service, networx not only acknowledge receipt of all applications but also provide feedback to each and every applicant on behalf of the client in a professional manner. Alternatively, networx technology (apoint and apoint+) enables companies to create bespoke communication templates that enable internal HR teams to acknowledge and send feedback at the touch of a button.

CIPD ? Prize Draw Winner

The CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition held in September has yet again proved to be a great success with the first order being received within just 3 days. The Prize Draw also attracting many entrants illustrating a high level of interest in each of our 4 solutions; Sourcing & Response Management Service, Graduate Recruitment Service, apoint and apoint+.

Drawn on Monday 1st October, the free prize draw winner was Sarah Powell from Morrisons Plc.

At The Engine House

In the last few weeks, networx have marked the first stage of significant growth plans by recruiting 6 new members of staff. Building on the high levels of success achieved in the last 12 months the new recruits will not only assist with the planned expansion of the business but also support the continued dedication to improving service levels to both clients and candidates.

Whilst Paul Marriott has joined as Senior Developer to assist the IT team with development of our applicant tracking systems, the remaining 5 have joined our sales team as Client Relations Managers. Donna Demain has moved into the North East following an internal restructure, Becci Strawford and Daniel Scott add support in the Midlands and Leicester area and both Liane Leader and Richard Youngman add further support in the London Area.
