According to Jobsites latest report, Recessional Recruiting, 52% of employees throughout the UK are actively looking for a new role despite the current climate.
Good news for the 53% of employers that are continuing to hire despite the recession and the 35% looking to recruit specific talent to ensure there survival through the current economic downturn.
Most importantly, 36% of these individuals are looking for a new role as part of their natural career progression with just 16% of those looking due to redundancy or in relation to concerns about being made redundant.
The recession has undoubtedly affected the way that many companies are recruiting but the recent findings suggest that for those that continue to recruit they will actually benefit from the increase in available talent and the lowered expectations of candidates in terms of salary, hours and bonus etc.
