This is a Temporary, Full Time vacancy that's closing in 14 days.

Parkinson’s UK is continuing with our organisational-wide transformation and data is key to delivering this vision. Our current Head of Data Strategy will be going on maternity leave and we are looking for an innovative data strategist and architect to join our team for 12 months.

As the lead for our whole-organisation data strategy, you will have a cross-organisational remit, responsible for relationship-building with a variety of internal and external teams and work with colleagues to build and develop the data culture across the organisation.

In the role, you will co-lead the Analytics and Insight Team supporting Parkinson’s UK to use data to their fullest potential, monitoring and leading growth in our data maturity and improvements in our data architecture.

Through an ambitious programme of data innovation partnerships, you will inspire staff and deliver real value to those affected by Parkinson’s: helping us find a cure, and improve life for people living with the condition.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience:

● driving and leading transformation and cultural changes, with specialist interest in data and insight

● leading, supporting and coaching teams

● implementing a modern data architecture and data quality management frameworks.

● proactively developing internal and external partnerships

● data science techniques like machine learning and natural language processing (desirable)

This is an exciting time for Parkinson’s UK and we would love you to join us!

Closing date: 20 September 2020

Looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible

Because of the current context around coronavirus, we're unlikely to be reopening our London office fully during 2020 so this role will be home-based. Once we’ve re-opened our London office, we will review the situation.

We aim to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's - and you could help us achieve this.

We offer a variety of paid job roles and volunteer opportunities both at our UK office in London and across the UK

Our Chief Executive, Steve Ford, shares what it is like to work for Parkinson's UK and join our movement for change.
