Purpose of the Role:

  • Generation of New Business income through client referrals, Introducer Relationships, and other business development initiatives
  • Delivery of additional revenue growth through client referrals to other Health sales teams.
  • To operate in accordance with the company’s Sales Quality standards at all times and ensure that high quality outcomes are delivered for customers.
  • Alignment of own operational goals with the rest of the distribution channels to deliver high quality customer outcomes
  • Effective management of relationships with providers to deliver high quality outcomes for the business and clients.

 

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Respond to New Lead Enquiries and contact clients to conduct a full market review to ensure client has the best policy to meet their needs and value for money. Processing appropriate paperwork to ensure completion in a timely manner.
  • Contacting and responding to telephone, email, internet, correspondence and facsimile new business leads, providing advice, quotations and recommendation of ‘best advice’ to the clients demands and needs.
  • Maintain the Client Management Database with accurate client data and considering any Data Protection issues.
  • Ensuring task lists are up to date and complete, requesting assistance where required.
  • Responding to all correspondences in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the sales process and apply this in all sales related processes.
  • Consider all underwriting, regulatory and insurer requirements in all transactions.
  • Achieve Monthly and Annual targets.
  • Assist the Internal Sales Team and Sales Manager to achieve the annual business plan.
  • Answering the telephone and managing queries, filtering to the appropriate personnel where necessary.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience within the Financial Services market is essential, with Private Medical Insurance experience desirable.
  • Experience in successfully converting potential customer enquiries essential
  • Experience in relationship building with Insurers/Providers, Clients and Account Managers
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office Programs
  • Minimum of Cert CII or willingness to study towards qualification

  • A proven ability to negotiate successfully on behalf of customers to deliver New Business targets.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong, personable telephone manner
  • Professional, customer focused approach internally and externally when dealing with colleagues and distribution partners
  • Well organised and able to respond well under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Working well as part of a team as well as being able to work for periods using own initiative
  • Copes well with change, internally within the business and externally within the market
  • Efficient and Reliable
