Due to the development of a new strategic plan, Alvance downstream is looking to reinforce it's sales team. Primary purpose of the job is to manage the current French business and help the plants to get new Request For Quotations (RFQs). The new incumbent will collaborate with the engineering department to represent the plants in front of the customer.


Key Responsibilities:

Develop Account Strategy:

  • Identify customer strategy, needs and key buying factors beyond purchasing
  • Assess 100% (needs, supplier shares), account trends and define aspirations
  • Identify key decision makers and influencers beyond purchasing and craft relationship plan
  • Complete, update & execute key account plan
  • Develop and update sales forecast for customer

Identify and drive actions to improve bottom line​:

  • Assess account economics and set profitability and growth target
  • Develop and maintain action plan for how targets will be met
  • Identify and drive execution of actions to improve profitability
  • Develop joint business plan
  • Identify gap with competitors to improve internal costs

Prepare and execute negotiations:

  • Develop value selling arguments for account
  • Develop negotiation strategy
  • Create and defend mandate
  • Execute negotiation

Lead cross-functional team:

  • Coordinate information flow and action planning with relevant functions
  • Create collaborative customer / Alvance teams
  • Identify and align resources
  • Conduct semi-annual internal account reviews with cross functional teams

Build long term customer relationship:

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders at customer beyond purchasing
  • Build partnerships across customer organization to create value for both parties
  • Conduct systematic performance reviews with customers

Play active role in Alvance commercial organization:

  • Actively participate in sales meetings, weekly highlights and sales updates
  • Actively participate in the BD strategic planning
  • Participate in relevant trade shows, conference, professional bodies


Qualifications and Experience requirements:

  • Extensive sales experience or Engineering education and sales experience
  • Strong Automotive background
  • Knowledge of French and wider European OEMs, with relevant sales network
  • English & French language skills
  • Knowledge in aluminium casting
