Wirral-headquartered renewable bioenergy and Combined Heat and Power specialists, Fleetsolve are expanding its workforce with the creation of an additional 70 jobs to meet the growing demand for its products and services.

Fleetsolve, a SIMEC Brand, is an award-winning business specialising in the design, manufacture and operation of liquid and gas-powered combined heat and power (CHP) units and power generation systems. Our range of applications begin at 5kWe through to 2.5mWe and everything in between. Our renewable power systems are utilised by a wide range of commercial application throughout the UK where a zero-carbon energy solution, reliability and grid resilience are critical.

The Role of Service Supervisor 

  •  You will manage the service, maintenance, and overhaul requirements of a diverse fleet of power generation and combined heat and power systems throughout the UK. 
  • As the UK partners to several world class OEM providers, high levels of availability, cost effective repairs, and warranty management are paramount.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all employees within the service and maintenance department is kept at the heart of everything you do in line with our positive safety culture.
  • Managing a growing fleet of generation applications from micro-CHP to 2.5mWe and up to 25mWe per site of biofuel and gaseous fuel systems operating 24/7 UK wide
  • Management and development of a growing team of service engineers and OEM technicians to ensure 24/7 operation and up time.
  • Involvement with the recruitment and development of team throughout the UK.
  • Working closely with our parts department to ensure on time supply of parts and equipment to meet demand of both local engineers and sites along with distributed depot locations.
  • Effective planning and resource deployment to meet demand.
  • Management of daily KPI monitoring and reporting in a range of software packages and MS Excel.
  • Investigate and report on assessment of route cause failures and learnings from review.
  • Work closely with the broader team to encourage knowledge transfer and understanding.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a field-based power generation and CHP role combined with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management position to provide effective and empathetic leadership is essential.
  • Hold a recognised health and safety qualifications such as IOSH Managing safely
  • Engine monitoring and oil analysis interpretation is essential. 
  • The use of labour planning and asset management software like SAP is essential.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word packages are essential.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with non-technical and technical colleagues, customers, and suppliers.

  • Must be confident and adaptable to changing situations and challenges as the role develops. 
  • Ability to prioritise workload to deliver projects on time and within budget and ensure customers’ expectations are managed and met.
  • Essential ability to work as part of a wider combined group, as well as on your own, to manage project demands and outcomes, and thrive on an ever changing dynamic. 
  • Prepared to work in other departments as and when the business requires.
  • experience of managing the out of hours on call rota and escalation process.
  • Must be flexible to working hours to suit the needs of the business and demands of the position.
