We have an exciting opportunity for three Customer Call Advisors to join our Care Plus Team within Customer Call Telecare department.

 

We are looking for people to join our friendly and supportive team with demonstrable communication skills and a caring and empathetic attitude. The roles focus on receiving and responding to potential emergency calls and taking timely and appropriate action, which may involve liaising with statutory, voluntary and care agencies to ensure that our customer’s needs are met. The team also provides an out of hours housing repairs service for SARH customers and other corporate customers.

 

We are recruiting for resource to cover both our day and night time shifts. Please specify in your application, which shift pattern you would like to apply for.

 

Days – 5 days on, 3 days off working 6.00am – 2.30pm and 2.00pm – 10.30pm

Nights – 5 nights on, 5 nights off working 10pm – 8:00am

 

Some of your responsibilities in this role will be…

  • To respond and take appropriate action with all calls whether through Piper Network Control (PNC) or telephone handsets; including emergency, life- critical or repair calls. Communicating with relevant internal and external stakeholders as required, not limited to 999 Emergency Services, medical professionals or customers.

  • To maintain confidentiality at all times and promptly report any safeguarding concerns or suspicions and work with partner agencies to protect vulnerable adults and children from harm or abuse.

  • To handle repair requests, diagnosing faults, recognising vulnerability and reporting to appropriate trades, within the guidelines of the relevant contract.

  • To provide appropriate advice and guidance, within the guidelines of the relevant contract and organisational policies and procedures, escalating calls and any concerns to the relevant manager appropriately.
     

As part of our team, we want you to have…

  • Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines

  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service in a telephony environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of older people and vulnerable adults in the community

  • Proficient in the use of customer databases, with MS Office computer skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Good problem-solving skills, with ability to use initiative effectively

  • Good administration and organisational skills

  • Ability to prioritise work and emergency calls
