Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Procurement to join Liberty Steel Services India (LSSI) based in Mumbai.

Responsibilities;

  • Manage team performing Spend data management for the group
  • Drive Alternate sourcing for cost optimum companies
  • Support Category Management of key categories for the group
  • Review performance of team members and train them in business processes.
  • Review performance of suppliers to ensure compliance to Liberty Steel policies
  • Ensure governance of the processes of the unit and align the related role’s key accountabilities with Procurement.
  • Ensure the team contribute to the continuous improvement of the defined standards providing inputs and actively participating to Global initiatives.
  • Develop a strategy, in conjunction with senior management to define and finetune the operating model
  • Support Functional and Process excellence in Procurement function and support in Digital Procurement initiatives within the group.
  • Accountable & responsible for establishing, managing and executing Procurement transactions of the team. This covers aligning demand & supply performance, Procurement Spend management, Alternate suppliers performance.
  • Control of Budget allocated for Liberty Steel Services India
  • Overseeing of Export Clearance/  Customs
  • Ensures compliance in Supply Chain by acting as Export Compliance Coordinator.
  • Managing daily operations: to lead the Procurement team in their daily operations, ensure the process is followed, facilitates the personal development of Procurement employees, ensures timely succession and knowledge transfer.
  • Manage supply chain cost, this would include : headcount planning, cost, budgeting and monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MSc)/ Business Administration/Engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of taxation, SAP Knowledge
  • Local knowledge of Procurement regulations will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading a procurement function (category management, analytics and buying products and services).
  • Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
  • Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and continued development and proactive succession planning.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Effective and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets.
