Our Business Development Executives are responsible for the growth and management of our Parcel Shop network. Our Parcel Shops are independent and chain stores where our customers can post and return parcels whilst receiving first class customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring excellent Customer Service is provided by our Parcel Shop retailers as well as developing your territory by upselling our services and products.

 

About the Role:

Because of the business growth we are experiencing, we are growing our BDE team. We have several roles up and down the country and you would be responsible for developing your territory by working closely with local retailers and selling Hermes products and services to them. You will be provided with Management Performance data provided by the business to identify areas of opportunity, under-performing agents and track personal achievement against agreed company KPI targets.

 

This is a home-based role with frequent travel across your territory as you manage your current Parcel Shops and bring on new retailers. You will be accountable for the Analysis of Retailer data in line with Retailer performance on territory against Company KPI targets and take responsibility for the Retailers performance within your territory.

 

This is a fast-paced, commercially driven role where you will have the opportunity to think entrepreneurially and really take ownership of your territory whilst having the support of a national business with over 3 decades of experience in the Parcel industry just in the UK.

 

Preferred experience/qualifications:

  • Be currently operating in a similar field based role in a retail sales environment.
  • Have people-management experience with a particular emphasis on support, motivation and being the main conduit for issue resolution.
  • Have proven experience and track record of adding significant value/increasing sales and achieving performance targets
  • Competent in data interrogation and basic understanding of excel.
  • Have the ability to work on their own, and have high levels of self-motivation/initiative
  • Professional appearance, articulate and able to communicate confidently at all levels

  • High degree of commercial awareness with the ability to think strategically in a fast moving and very busy operational environment
  • Ability to stand back from process, re-evaluate and get the best from themselves
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to command respect and trust and be a highly persuasive communicator
  • Possess high degree if initiative, resilience, self-motivation and confidence
  • Able to clearly prioritise and cope under pressure
