Essar Oil UK is a leading UK-focussed downstream energy company whose main asset is the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, one of the most advanced refineries in Europe and situated close to the major cities of Liverpool and Manchester.  Stanlow is a key strategic national asset, annually producing over 16% of the UK’s road transport fuels, while playing an important part in Britain’s petrochemical industry by providing key feedstocks.

**The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Turnaround Engineer to join Essar, working initially on a number of boiler Turnarounds. Initially this role will support the event leader preparing and executing events as part of a Turnaround Team of up to 100 contractors and internal colleagues. There is then the opportunity to progress to Event Lead on Boilers and broader units across site. In this role you will be responsible for all activities associated with the Turnaround Execution. This includes management of mechanical, civil and Power & Control works, as well as interfacing with the Operations Teams for plant handover and handback. 

 

**About You

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering with experience of Turnaround’s on a Hydrocarbon plant, with a mechanical bias preferred. You should be either working towards or qualified as a Nominated or Authorised engineer. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver the Turnarounds to Safety, Schedule and cost targets. You will have experience of Plant Maintenance Delivery, Construction, or Project Management, and so be able to co-ordinate Turnaround preparation and field execution activities.  You are commercially astute with Vendor and Contractor Management Skills.
