We have an exciting PMO (Project Management Office) Analyst opportunity to join our PMO Team at Yorkshire Housing.  We’re looking for an inspirational colleague who’ll be an integral part of the team - working across loads of exciting programmes and projects.

You'll be joining the team at an exciting time as we look at improving the way we interact with our customers, how we run our business with lots of changes to the technology we use and how we work.

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. Yes, we own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and make it possible for current and future customers to have a place they’re proud to call home,  but we’re also all about making a positive difference in people’s lives.  Whether that’s helping people get on the property ladder, supporting with money coaching or enabling our older customers to continue to live independently. And to do that, we need to recruit and keep the very best people.

What you’ll be doing?

As a PMO Analyst you’ll know a key part of your role is the overall co-ordination and control of projects and programmes to ensure the delivery of  the overall portfolio plan.  You’ll be supporting the team of project managers, tracking overall plans, resource planning alongside impact assessing any changes and escalating risks/issues.

You’ll also be ensuring project governance is in place, carrying out assurance checks on process and documentation.  This will include relevant audits and facilitation of governance meetings.

There’ll also be line management of the Project Co-Ordinator’s as part of this role.

The stuff that sets you apart?

The main things:

  • Previous experience of working in a structured PMO or project environment.
  • Experience of detailed planning at a programme / project level
  • Experience in managing project risk, planning and controls in a change environment
  • Skilled in the use of software applications – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Professional PMO or project management qualification or equivalent through training or experience

A bonus if you have experience:

  • Managing small projects
  • Working on business or technology projects in the Housing Sector
  • Working on a range of projects simultaneously
  • Previous experience of managing teams

What’s in it for you?

We offer a salary of £36,776 per annum for a 35 hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.

We also provide a fantastic reward package to suit everyone –a variety of amazing discounts via PerkBox, a great Healthcare cash plan called Health Shield and a contributory pension scheme where we will match your contributions up to 9%!  As well as our great benefits and a fantastic work environment, we’re absolutely a company that cares about its employees and its customers.

So if you want to be part of a team that makes a real, positive difference every day and work for an organisation that prioritises its people and its customers then we want to hear from you

The finer print

We also promote a flexible working culture, as long as these fit in around the needs of your role. So you don’t need to take a day off to do that parent child reading class or take your pet to the vets or to do both! But talk it over with your manager, to make sure it fits in around what you need to do and meet business needs.

This is a home-working position but in line with our hub, home and roam strategy, you do need to be able to commute to or around Yorkshire regularly for face to face collaboration and to meet business requirements.

If you are applying for this role internally you must inform your current line manager

Detailed requirements are included on the attached role profile

We’ve got a few ‘house rules’ at Yorkshire Housing (no pun intended!). One of them is work is something that you do, not somewhere that you go and another is that we think in careers, not jobs. Our flexible working environment and friendly culture means you can be yourself, take advantage of development opportunities and succeed – that’s just how we roll.

We’re inclusive and welcoming and offer a fun and open culture with a shared belief in making a positive difference to people’s lives – it really does feel like joining a big family!
