Department Overview:

We are a sector focused business actively operating and investing in Infrastructure, Commercial, Residential, Education, Health, Sports, Nuclear and Retail clients and projects. We work in close contact with our clients, advising them on financial, programme, procurement, risk and contractual matters that arise during the project.

 

     

Overview of Role:

 

We are currently recruiting Procurement Manager to join the Infrastructure Team and wider Advisory Business. Due to the nature of the role the candidate can be based in any location within UK.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to join a leading consultancy.    

The role would involve assisting in the provision of procurement activities on behalf of public and private sector clients across the Infrastructure sector.

 Key responsibilities:

 

  • Assisting the client project teams, advising and delivering contract and procurement services for both pre and post contract stages under the instruction of the client or our own commission managers.
  • Conducting tendering process including evaluation through to supporting leading manager to contract award.
  • Stakeholder management at a working level
  • debriefing suppliers on tendering performance.
  • Supporting in writing negotiation strategies and supporting lead negotiator when required.
  • Actively contributing to the delivery of a full range of services including strategy, tendering, supplier management, benchmarking, performance management, non-complex negotiation, evaluation and support contract drafting.
  • Working on their own initiative as well as part of a commission team, whilst contributing to the wider business targets

 

 

 Person Specification:

 

Interpersonal skills are integral to the role, and agility to work in varying roles at various stages of the lifecycle whilst conducting oneself in a professional manner are key.

  • Experience of supporting senior managers on procurement projects.
  • Recognised University degree- desirable
  • Membership in relevant professional organisations (MCIPS) or working towards
  • Understanding of the various procurement routes.
  • Demonstrating dynamism, energy, and a strong commitment to the delivery of our client programmes
  • Understanding of the full end-to-end procurement process, including strategy, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, performance measures and management, supplier management and negotiation.
  • Understanding of the Public Procurement Regulations
  • Experience at working within fast paced, deadline focused environments.
  • Analytical and investigative skills.
  • Strong interpersonal & stakeholder management skills.
  • Report writing, written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrating attention to detail, a willingness to learn and determination to progress
