Two Rivers Housing is an independent not-for-profit housing association based in the Forest of Dean with over 4,500 homes across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire with ambitious plans for future growth. We are really proud to have been recognised for gaining and maintaining Gold in RoSPA for health and safety standards, as well as being Gold accredited in Investors in People.  

 

We are currently seeking a Clerk of Works to ensure that building works are constructed in accordance with contract drawings, specification and current regulations/standards.

 

Responsible for ensuring the correct quality of work and taking appropriate preventive or corrective action where necessary you will carry out regular site visits to all of our developments. You will inspect the works and ensure that the works are being carried out to our standards and free of defects. 

 

Effectively working with site teams to ensure the build process runs to satisfaction, you will also achieve levels of customer satisfaction with their new home in excess of the target of 96%.

 

We’re looking for someone with: 

 

  • Demonstrable technical knowledge and a working understanding of building residential dwellings for affordable housing, private renting and homes for sale.

  • Relevant experience in residential building development or related discipline (preferably in Affordable Housing Environment).

  • Good understanding of Housing Sector standards and regulations relating to the design and building of Affordable Housing

  • Good contract management experience and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to be self motivated, time-manage own workload, set priorities and work to strict deadlines.

  • Well motivated and with a desire to achieve own and team objectives and targets

  • Good commercial awareness and financial acumen.

  • Good communication skills able to communicate well at all levels

  • Knowledge of NHBC Party Wall Act and Construction Design Management Regulations 2015 Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 building qualification or higher. 

  • Good general standard of education including report writing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Teams.

  • Full driving licence required

 

Due to the nature of the role you will have the ability to work at heights. Mobile working is also required.
