Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (with 1 hour lunch)

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Administrator with a background within the haulage industry to join our Portadown team.  

We are an independent, family owned business with almost 40 years in operation, who value their employees. Through the years we have experienced growth in our storage facilities, employees, product range and nationwide customer base and we intend to keep growing!

Daily tasks will include:

  • Arranging loads with suppliers, hauliers and external warehousing to ensure smooth running of the distribution network.            

  • Release stock from external warehouses for delivery to our main site and customers.

  • Arrange transport for loads going to mainland UK and Europe.           

  • Booking goods into the ERP system.

Further to this you may be asked to provide cover for the Despatch Manager when required. 

What we're looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • A good background knowledge of distribution and haulage including knowledge of it’s administration such as; tacho cards, CPC training, driver breaks etc.

  • Recent experience within a similar role in which you liaised with suppliers, hauliers and warehouses.

  • Strong IT skills and ideally knowledge of ERP systems

  • Being a family run friendly business it’s very important to us that you have excellent customer service skills.
