West Lancashire College is seeking a recruit a Technician to join our dynamic and ambitious Business, Service, Leisure & Creative department.  You will support the curriculum manager and teaching staff to ensure the best possible experience for our students and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with Course Leaders in BSLC to maintain stocks of materials, equipment and resources.
  • Prepare, set up and distribute equipment and materials in preparation for learning sessions.
  • Help maintain security of materials, resources and equipment within the BSLC area.
  • Liaise with teachers / assessors to produce, prepare, adapt and organise teaching and learning materials and resources and support the delivery of practical sessions in the BSLC workshops.
  • Ensure general and regular maintenance of equipment & resources as required.
  • Keep BSLC workshops in a clean and tidy state, ready for use.
  • Transport the necessary equipment and resources in a safe manner.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records as relevant to the post.
