This is a Full Time/Flexible Working, Permanent vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Standards Advisor to join our established Construction team, where your primary focus will be to promote the understanding and application of our integrated management system – the Wates Operating Framework. You will encourage best practice and assist with the continuous improvement of Wates processes and procedures for our Construction teams in Southern Home Counties.

As a Quality Standards Advisor, you  will be responsible for developing everyone’s practical application of the Operating Framework and supporting improvements to overall quality management and digital record keeping of project teams.  A key collaborator and facilitator you will positively influence both internal and external members of the wider project teams to enable them to actively deliver customer satisfaction and reduce mistakes, rework / recalls and defects.  

Alongside this, you will also carry out internal audits in accordance with ISO 19011:2011 as identified by the Business Quality Manager on a range of projects, activities, and key supply chain members; providing accurate reports and publishing to relevant parties.

To be successful in the role you will be comfortable visiting construction projects across the Southern Home Counties area, be an effective communicator with a positive and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business, along with good writing and analytical skills and can effectively organise your own diary and meetings.

Ideally you will have operational experience of construction, be a Quality Practitioner (PCQI) and IRCA trained internal auditor with some knowledge of industry technology, including regulatory requirements and/or have experience of ISO 9001:2015, but what is most important is your drive, passion and personality to be able to make a difference across the Wates group.

This role will be based out of either Leatherhead or London offices and will include regular travel to offices and sites, as well as home working.
