Our projects are delivered through four regional businesses, Central, London, North and South, with experts based across the country enabling us to provide specialist support locally, backed up by the scale and capability of a national business.



We have an opportunity for a M&E Project Manager to join our established South East Construction team where the primary focus will be to take full accountability for the management of the MEP deliverables at  design, pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases for either a single project or a portfolio of projects.



Key Accountabilities will include:


  • Procure, manage, coordinate and quality control all the relevant MEP parties ensuring compliance with Wates Standards throughout the project
  • Establish MEP procurement /packaging strategy aligned with building fabric elements and integrated into the overall programme
  • Assist Design Manger with provision of technical advice, to produce, agree and manage with all relevant parties, a realistic design programme and information required schedule to satisfy design, procurement and construction requirements.
  • Ensuring that all works on site are carried out using approved method statements and risk assessments
  • Plan and deliver snag free handover in accordance with project pack
  • Ensure MEP delivery in accordance with Wates standard procedures incorporating ‘Readiness to Start’ project gateways

To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate and engaging approach when supporting and educating the business. You will have solid experience in mechanical and electrical building services, and of managing both MEP procurement and delivery phases/installation stages of large new build projects.
