Customer Service Advisor - Member Care

Shift Pattern Rotational shifts Monday – Friday, varying between 8am – 7pm.? 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am – 1pm?

The Vacancy

This is a permanent role, salary displayed is based on a 40 hours contract, but there is a variance of hours available so just ask when we talk to you

Overall Job Purpose

Our customers in Member Care count on us to be there when they need our support. When contacting us via the telephone they are often poorly and so may be going through a challenging and emotional time in their lives and need to speak to us about their private medical insurance cover. We hold their hand from when they first call us to talk about their illness all the way though to a diagnosis and treatment plan.  This is a fast paced environment where every customer counts. 

In return for offering our customers the exceptional service they deserve in addition to a competitive salary we offer a £500 bonus upon completing probation and a monthly performance based bonus scheme which can boost your earnings by up to £3000 per annum 

Skills Required

Essential

  • A Passion for customer service 

  • A natural carer with the ability to actively listen and question around our customers’ needs, finding solutions for our customers in a timely manner 

  • Ability to use multiple systems whilst building rapport and supporting our customers  

  • Someone who enjoys having something to work towards through our monthly performance measures 

  • Self-motivation and the drive to work hard even on challenging days 

  • The ability to embrace change positively 

  • Ownership of tasks including resolution of any issues that might arise 

Desirable

Experience of working in a Customer Services role is desirable but if you have the natural traits we need then we can help you develop that experience through training and coaching
