Job Description & Requirements

The Lead Resident Engineer shall be in the discipline of Electrical, Instrumentation & Control in delivery of large scale power generation project. The Engineer shall have at least 10 years of relevant engineering experience in delivery of large scale industrial/ utilities projects (e.g. waste, water, oil & gas, power) or relevant experience in delivering large solid waste management projects (e.g. WTE, sludge incineration, materials recovery and food waste treatment).


The duties shall include the following but not limited to:

1. Work as owner’s engineer to lead the EICA project implementation at site.

2. Proactive attitude and solution orientated personality with leadership mentality and for the EICA discipline, assisting project director for the contract execution.

3. Strong capability of specification capability for all I&C related specification. e.g. DCS / PLC system configuration, topology and controller, RIO engineering.

4. In depth of understanding for automation package for contract implementation of automation systems for WtE project.

5. Contracts management in the I & C discipline for the WtE project

6. Review the submittals from Contractors for Process Control like Waste Reception system, Incinerator-Boiler System, Water Steam Cycle, weighbridge system, building services, Enterprise Resources Planning, Communication Network Infrastructure, DCS, PLC etc.

7. Essential understanding of P&ID of process engineering

8. Engage in Technical discussion for all control system related issue with contractor and client

9. Participate in HAZOP review, SIL safety and design for safety workshops

10. Work with electrical team closely for all power and process interfaces

11. Participation of FAT of automation equipment, DCS, PMS, PLC and RIO

12. Provide Technical support in Testing and Commissioning of the plant



•Minimum Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

•Minimum 10 years relevant experience in I&C works, preferably in Water / Waste Water/ industrial projects

•Good supervisory skills
