Are you a technically strong FM leader?


At Wates FM,  we are looking for an experienced Technical Services Director to join the team to provide technical guidance and leadership to the FM business.  Reporting to the Operations Director, this role will develop and implement innovative best practice solutions that will develop our technical capability, drive consistent standards, develop new maintenance strategies including business focus maintenance, risk based maintenance and condition based monitoring, develop and implement ESG and Sustainability strategy. 




  • Provide technical support to complex Accounts
  • Support FM Bid activity with technical solutioning and innovation
  • Manage statutory compliance across FM Business
  • Identify value add solutions and developing practical applications that either generate additional revenue or help with retaining clients  
  • Develop and implement Wates FM ESG strategy and support accounts with implementation
  • Develop and implement Wates FM Sustainability strategy and then support accounts with implementation
  • Manage CAFM system standards and be main interface between business and IT/ Application teams


You are…

  • Experienced in critical FM environments ideally in Pharma, FMCG, manufacturing and data centres
  • Data Centre management experience
  • A skilled professional with experience of senior technical roles
  • Exceptional at client relationship management
  • Able to influence at all levels internally and externally
  • Excellent  at communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to develop technical solutions and guidance and communicate them internally and externally
  • Chartered engineer or  an apprentice trained engineer who has recognised technical qualifications
