The Income Management team are responsible for the monitoring and collection of rental income and maximising customer benefits. As an Income Management Advisor, you will work in your community having open and honest conversations with customers to help sustain their tenancy.


You’ll work collaboratively to achieve the best results for our customers to allow them to thrive in their homes and communities. 


Experience in the housing or benefits sector will help you hit the ground running. You will need to have a good understanding of income collection, support and welfare benefits so that you can provide advice, and guidance to customers. You will also support your colleagues, leaders, and neighbourhood coordinators with in-depth benefit information.


You will be someone who has:

  • Experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a general needs housing environment, or a similar background relevant to income collection

  • A good understanding of housing benefit, universal credit and welfare reform legislation would be an advantage.

  • Excellent communication with colleagues and customers alike, in an engaging and welcoming way

  • A positive attitude and a consistent, engaged team player. Proactive and able to prioritise your workload

  • A willingness to find a solution for every customer's individual needs, including effectively negotiating repayment arrangements

  • Excellent IT skills, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic

  • A commitment to #teamcommunity and will be a great ambassador for Community Housing.
