Exposure Management Technical Analysts

Pro Insurance currently has multiple exciting positions available within our Underwriting Support function. We are looking for experienced Technicians or Analysts to come and join our CAI Exposure Management team. 

This role will be working on a hybrid approach, with time split between home and our Gloucester or Liverpool office on a weekly basis. We also have UK office locations in London, Glasgow, Horsham and Liverpool.



As part of the Exposure Management team, successful applicants will use both our purpose-built Augmented Intelligence CAI system and Excel templates to prepare, cleanse and quality check data for loss modelling quickly, accurately and efficiently. CAI is a newly developed, inhouse system designed to automate large parts of the data cleansing process and which takes advantage of machine learning.

You will have the opportunity to assist in the ongoing development of this forward thinking, innovative product at Pro. This is a growing team currently onboarding new clients and with a healthy pipeline of interested parties looking to come on board.

The roles will involve sourcing, interpreting, extracting and analysing information from various types of documentation and manipulating data, with responsibilities including but not limited to the below:

  • Working alongside the exposure management team analysis, interpretation and manipulation of data such as schedules of values
  • Dealing with clients with a professional manner
  • Investigation and application of missing data
  • Searching the internet to verify missing information needed to enhance current data EG. Location Geo-coding
  • Ensuring data is entered into CAI using the correct lookup formulae
  • Creation of and maintenance of data with Client’s systems EG. specific terms and conditions
  • Interrogation and interpretation of documents to extract appropriate data
  • Compliance with Client’s quality standards and service level agreements
  • Prioritise workload to maintain workflow
  • Escalate queries to management/client as appropriate


Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of the insurance industry – understanding of business classes and technical transactions is highly desirable
  • Microsoft Excel skills is essential including working with formulae
  • Ability to deliver accurate information with an attention to detail
  • Experience of exposure management advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent time management and flexibility combined with strong organisational skills to meet Client requirements
  • Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Excellent and demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
  • A conscientious, positive and enthusiastic approach to work, maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues and clients.
  • Willingness to learn and work across multiple client teams
