As a Principal Pricing Analyst, you will Utilise technical expertise, in-depth knowledge of insurance industry and market leading tools to produce creative and actionable pricing solutions. This is to maximise Atlanta’s ability to meet its strategy and annual plan but should also influence that strategy through regular identification of opportunities to Pricing Managers, Head of Pricing and Executive Committee. This role requires a large element of coaching team members and championing best practice across the department.

We’re a small team which means that you won’t get lost in the crowd and will have a fantastic opportunity to put your expert pricing knowledge into practice. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about pricing and in turn we promise to provide you with the support and opportunity to make a difference.

Reporting to the Head of Pricing, you will make use of WTW Radar and Emblem and you will have responsibility for the development and maintenance of predictive models (GLM) and price optimisation including machine learning algorithms (GBM), LTV(Lifetime Value) and fair pricing principles. Ultimately creating value for our customers and Atlanta.

Bringing best in class pricing experience, you’ll be expected to provide pricing proposals considering customer and commercial outcomes, communicating these in a compelling, impactful way to all levels of stakeholders to help us make the right decisions at the right times.

You’ll work on multiple priorities within a fast paced, dynamic environment. You’ll need to be able to manage the expectations of stakeholders alongside prioritising your workload.

Working collaboratively to fulfil the ambitions of the business and the Finance, Pricing & Analytics department, you will have every chance to make a real impact and quickly see the results.

About you

You’re curious, analytical and logical by nature with a keen eye for detail and a first class or 2:1 degree in a numerate discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science).

You are highly proficient with the WTW Radar and Emblem with knowledge of GLM and machine learning algorithms (GBM) within personal lines insurance.

You have proven SQL/SAS and advanced MS Excel data analysis and reporting experience.

We’re also interested in your softer skills - your ability to coach and develop Pricing Analysts, work with challenging stakeholders along with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate solutions in a simple, clear and concise way.

Working at pace with opposing and changing priorities doesn’t faze you and you’re not afraid to challenge the status quo.

There is very little hierarchy here and if you were to join us, you would be expected to have a voice and the confidence to use it.

A qualified / almost qualified actuary would be desirable.
