We are a value-orientated Housing Association working together to create communities where people want to live.  We manage circa 5,600 homes over a wide geographical area and our residents include families, older people and those in need of special care and support.    

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Property Services Team. We are looking for a Senior Fire Safety Officer to be part of a small designated Fire Safety team. Based at our head office in Chester, with regular travel through the region and to other locations within the group, you will undertake the role of competent person in relation to the Group’s statutory obligations for Fire Safety.  

You will manage the approach to Fire Safety to ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, including the development and implementation of an effective risk management approach to compliance within the Group.  

We are looking for a suitably qualified individual to work with the Assistant Director of Property Services and Asset Services Manager in the delivery of our Fire Safety Planned works. The Fire Safety Team also manage the Fire Risk Assessment process and subsequent follow on actions highlighted by the groups Fire Risk Assessors.    

It is essential for success that you possess excellent communication skills, so you are able to relay complex information and build constructive relationships, influencing and managing expectations where necessary to guarantee positive outcomes.
