This is a fantastic opportunity to join HMS and our established and highly motivated team as one of our Gas Engineers. Within this role you’ll work as part of an integrated team for the delivery of a first class construction and maintenance service and will ensure the highest standards of Customer Care, Quality and Service Delivery are met.

The role will cover across our heartlands of Warrington, Liverpool and St Helens.

 

Principal accountabilities of the role include:

  • You’ll carry out a range of gas appliance activities including new installations, maintenance, servicing and remedial works.
  • Undertake associated duties or tasks that complement the core trade such as Plumbing, Brickwork, Plastering, Electrical and Joinery in order to contribute to HMS’s ‘one job one visit’ objective.
  • You’ll operate within a scheduled appointment systems including liaison with customers and other team members in order to effectively undertake the works.
  • You will undertake diagnostic and pre-measuring work in order to ascertain the nature of any activity and facilitate its completion.
  • Maintain and operate an agreed range of stock and equipment
  • Liaise as required with Schedulers, Planners, CLO’s, other HMS divisions or contractors to ensure the work is properly coordinated and the necessary works are fully completed.

 

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • You be educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heating or Gas
  • You hold a ACS elements CCN1, CPA1, CEN1, HTR1, WAT1, CKR1, DAH1, MET1
  • Time Served Apprenticeship in relevant subject
  • Experience of Gas, mechanical, building maintenance & construction activities
  • Godo Customer Service Skills
  • Self motivated with the ability to work alone with minimum supervision
  • Full UK or EU Driving License is essential
