The Vacancy
Bromsgrove District Housing Trust (bdht) are currently seeking a Neighbourhood Operative to ensure they deliver an excellent neighbourhood street cleansing service and support the community repairs team and wider organisation to deliver an excellent repairs service.
You will ensure you meet high expectations during every interaction and communicate effectively with customers at all times.
What you will be doing:
You will work proactively and reactively within bdht neighbourhoods to collect, clear and dispose of fly tipping, litter picking and the completion of minor grounds maintenance tasks.
Working within both our customer’s and empty properties, you will assist in the cleaning and clearance of properties and gardens. You will work alongside repairs operatives to complete responsive repairs and grounds maintenance giving due consideration at all times to the health and safety of self and others.
In addition, you will ensure the security and condition of vehicles, plant and equipment and liaise with customers and bdht team members to ensure correct processes are adhered to.
About You
You will need to be confident with IT, use of handhelds and e-mails.
You will need to hold a current full driving licence.
Previous experience of working within Social Housing is desirable but not essential
A full qualification relevant within a base trade is desirable but not essential
