The Vacancy
Liberty Steel's Engineering Services provide a Lifting Equipment, inspection and repair service for the Speciality Steels business working mainly at Rotherham and Stocksbridge sites but occasionally for other business units at other sites. The Job holder should be apprentice trained or have at least one LEEA Advanced programme Training Certificate or possess a TEAM card and must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Lifting Equipment inspection and repair. The job holder is required to work as part of a team, where team members must be able to understand safe working procedures and apply recognised safety practices, to each task they are undertaking and ensure other team members behave accordingly. Team members must be self-motivated and highly flexible. They are required to work unsupervised and deliver a first-class customer service in accordance with departmental goals and key performance indicators. Key competencies required are :-
The job holder should have a methodical approach to work, with attention to detail and accuracy when completing inspection paperwork, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills and effective verbal communication. A current driving license is essential. The role operates on a six day rota Sunday to Friday basis. Working hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 2pm Sundays, with opportunity for occasional overtime working for which a premium is paid. Benefits
