We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Electrical Skilled Shift Production Engineer at our Aldwarke Cast Products manufacturing site in Rotherham. The position is important within our operations team and as Electrical Skilled Shift Production Engineer you will react as first line response to breakdowns, diagnose faults and carrying out repairs effectively and undertake improvement projects under supervision of the day engineering team as required by the business.

In your role you will be required to

  • Report to the team leader, assisting in the efficient operation of the electrical function.
  • Follow routine and condition-based maintenance schedules as generated into our maintenance management system.
  • Providing accurate and sufficient feedback for the day engineering team through our maintenance management system.
  • Work to a good standard of health and safety in a team working environment.

The working pattern is 12 hour shift based work

What we are looking for

To be successful as an Electrical Skilled Shift Production Engineer you will need:

  • Recognised Electrical apprenticeship (ONC level or equivalent)
  • Electrical experience of industrial systems.
  • Maintenance of PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley and GEM80 for example). Use of programing tools to identify faults.
  • Calibration systems.
  • Fault finding of electronic cards to component level.
  • Electrical maintenance of Motors, Drives (to 1000kW) and Inverters.
  • PPM systems
  • IET wiring regulations BS7671
  • Good level of problem solving awareness
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and work with technical data.
  • Experience of a similar role.
  • Reporting of PPM activities and breakdowns.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping awareness and standards.
  • Experience of adhering to SWP’s, risk assessments, procedures and permit systems.
