The Home

Dunlarg Care Home situated in Keady Road, Armagh. Nursing home with maximum of 50 Service Users. Categories of care: - old age not falling within any other category, Physical disability other than sensory impairment, Physical disability other than sensory impairment – over 65 years, terminally ill, Dementia, Mental disorder excluding learning disability or dementia

The Role

This role involves assisting the operations of a catering service within Healthcare Ireland unit with particular emphasis on the movement, storage and preparation of food within the unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
  • Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
  • Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
  • Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations. 

 

You will need:

  • NVQ3/C&G standard with an advanced food catering certificate.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in care home setting.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Updated catering skills.
