This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are looking for an experienced Investment Associate Consultant to provide high quality investment advice in a professional and efficient manner.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Providing investment advice to both trustee and corporate clients on a wide range of issues.
  • Directing and advising a portfolio of clients.
  • Own and manage the delivery of client advice – key liaison person within client team.
  • Delivering high quality, expert investment advice employing strategic and innovative solutions.
  • Developing business - active involvement in client ‘prospecting’, relationship building and new business pitches.
  • Activities designed to build and enhance the practice and firm’s profile through networking, speaking at appropriate conferences and other forums.
  • Building and maintaining strong links with other areas of the business to facilitate cross selling.
  • Adhere to the firm’s Information Security standards, policies and procedures.
  • Developing the consulting capabilities of the practice by coaching and mentoring team members.


Essential Qualifications/Skills/Experience:


  • Working towards FFA/FIA or CFA– may be authorised to give investment advice via another qualification or experience.
  • Experience and an interest in transitions is required.
  • Performing a similar role in an Investment consultancy environment.
  • A solid understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes.
  • Strong commercial awareness of the pensions and employee benefits market.
  • Related knowledge or experience of Company Accounts an advantage.
  • Articulate ideas and develop them into tangible offerings.
  • Apply strong intellect to problem-solving in client organisations.
  • Coach and develop other professionals.
  • Consult with client contacts across a range of levels.
  • Recognise and facilitate business development and intra/inter-practice referral opportunities as appropriate.

  • Flexible, pro-active and innovative approach to client solutions.
  • A team player with a motivational, hands-on approach.
  • Degree of flexibility to travel to clients and other Hymans Robertson offices (when travel for work is safely resumed).
