Our Rent and Service Charge Officer is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our business. Your role will be to deliver high quality financial services and business partnering, ensuring delivery of our business objectives and upholding our commitment to customers.
The role
Within this role you will be a key part of the annual rent and service charges setting process, and be the first point of contact for day to day queries on Rent and Service Charges. With excellent attention to detail, you will accurately record Service Charge costs, perform formula rent checks, ensuring target rents are observed, have responsibility for various income reconciliations and provide information for re-lets and new charges, working with colleagues across the business.
Additionally you will lead on Leaseholder administration, charges and communication, assist with the variable service charge reconciliation process for social rent customers and support the production of monthly management accounts, by providing data and insight for areas regarding service charge income and expenses as well as stock numbers.
About you
We are looking for an individual with experience of working in a financial environment, with knowledge and understanding of variable service charge fundamentals, ideally with knowledge of the affordable housing sector.
Excellent ICT skills, especially Microsoft Excel, along with strong organisation and communication skills is key to this role.
Experience and knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework of rent and service charge setting would be beneficial although this is not essential. A willingness to train and learn is just as desirable.
