This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We are currently recruiting for a Data Protection Manager to join our growing Risk and Compliance team. The successful candidate will be key in delivering the firm’s Data Protection Framework.

This role will be based at our Dublin office.

What will you be doing?

  • Support the Board and the Data Protection Officer by driving the delivery, and continued enhancement and improvement, of the firm’s Data Protection Framework.
  • To identify and report on Key Risk Indicators relating to Data Protection
  • Carry out Data Protection Horizon Scanning
  • Produce consistent and high-quality reports to the firm’s Board, Risk Committee, Risk & Compliance forum, and other internal governance forums.
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of data breaches and data errors.
  • Act as the firm’s point of contact for all data protection related queries by providing timely advice and support to the firm’s business units.
  • Provide training and communications on data protection (and other regulatory topics as required) to ensure awareness of the regulatory requirements and to support the delivery of a culture of compliance.

 

Is this you?

  • Experience implementing data protection frameworks, policies, standards, and processes in the finance services sector, preferably in a mortgage or lending environment.
  • Excellent experience of promoting a data protection culture and data protection awareness within an organisation.
  • Good understanding of mortgage products and servicing and knowledge of the relevant rules and guidance, particularly the Consumer Protection Code.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and able to use Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & PowerPoint) proficiently.
  • Works well as part of a team but can also work independently and to deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
  • Professional qualification in data protection, or working towards qualifications, is preferred.
