Dean Close Little Trees Day Nursery Tutshill have a very exciting opportunity for a full time aspiring Deputy Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be expected to oversee the day to day running of the nursery and to maintain the care and education standards as monitored by Ofsted, supporting the Nursery Manager. 

We pride ourselves in working in partnership with parents/ carers and the Nursery Manager must be approachable, friendly and have excellent communication skills.

It is desirable for the Deputy Manager to have had experience of the supervision and appraisal process and to positively lead and manage a team of practitioners to ensure that all children meet their full potential. This isn't essential as full training will be given.

It is also desirable to have sound knowledge of the self-evaluation of the nursery, target setting and record keeping procedures, however full training will be provided. 

You will have outstanding knowledge of the EYFS, observation, assessment and planning to ensure that the education activities and experiences we are offering the children is of excellent quality.

Experience/Qualifications

· Minimum of 1 years working in an Early Years setting

· NNEB, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ level 3 or equivalent, Early Years Teacher status

· Designated Safeguarding Lead

· Experience of the inspection process

· Knowledge of Health and Safety issues and legislation
