About the role

As the NHS Confederation Race Equality Lead you will:

  • Play a key role in embedding the organisation’s Anti-Racism Strategy ensuring action flows from the strategy’s objectives, so that our own practice is improved and becomes business as usual.
  • Influence and support the improvement journey for senior leaders across the NHS as you work with the NHS Confederation’s Networks to offer our Members resources and tools to deliver cultural change in their organisations.
  • Facilitate and guide peer to peer learning to share learning and implement best practice, forming ‘what good looks like’ for Members’ organisations.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Knowledge, experience and skills in delivering cultural change as a subject matter expert in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, with a focus on Race Equality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including being personally credible and influential with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing complex relationships at a senior level, and work in an inclusive collaborative manner to get results.
  • Experience of leading complex programmes of work, from scoping through to completion, combining insight from leaders to deliver transformational proposals, in rapidly changing environments. The skills to deliver diverse portfolios of work balancing competing priorities.
