About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Site Electrician.
The Site Electrician will report into the Estates department and provide a comprehensive electrical maintenance service all college buildings.
The successful candidate will:
- Relevant Level 3 qualification, e.g., NVQ Diploma
- Must understand 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification and Testing and Inspection of Electrical Systems qualification.
- Minimum 3 years industrial experience
- Experience of working in an educational environment – desirable
- Able to use IT systems such as MS365, given the appropriate training
- Ability to install electrical systems and components (e.g., wiring, switches, lighting, transformers, switchboards, motors distribution boards).
- Ability to diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and appropriate tools.
