We’re looking for a Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst to join our in-house Operational Due Diligence (ODD) team. The ODD team are responsible for identifying and assessing operational risk and control issues in prospective investment managers, prior to investment.
The role also requires close interaction with our existing portfolio of external investment managers, as well as internal stakeholders and committees, as this contributes to the overall investment selection and monitoring process. This position will support the identification and escalation of operational and control risks in order to minimise any negative outcome for the Pension Protection Fund. The successful applicant will also contribute to the ongoing monitoring of the Pension Protection Funds existing portfolio of third-party investment managers.
Our ideal applicant will have demonstrable experience working within an Operational Due Diligence role at a Senior Analyst or Associate level. Experience of working within an investment management environment (either investment operations, compliance, operational risk or internal audit) with good all-round investment product/structure experience is also essential. Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of dealing with investment managers and related stakeholders, including brokers, custodians and administrators.
As part of this role, international travel to external fund managers and service providers will be necessary. So, a willingness and the ability to travel abroad is required.
