Southwark College require a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified person to take on the role of Curriculum Manager – Business, Computing and Finance (16-18). The post holder will manage the day-to-day development of the curriculum portfolio (16-18), ensuring it is consistent with college plans; lead, motivate, develop and manage a curriculum team taking responsibility for performance management, personal development and target setting for individuals; and utilise staff resources to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
The post holder will be required to teach, tutor (up to 12 hours per week) and manage learning on a range of Business, Computing and Finance courses. The successful applicant will manage the quality of provision liaising with external awarding agencies and ensure quality standards. Key part of the role will be to monitor and manage attendance and progress for study program learners including English and Maths. Reporting to the Head of Faculty, you will be committed to managing and promoting excellence in the quality standards of teaching and learning.
This post requires a strong background in Curriculum management, meeting student needs, managing the quality of curriculum and management in general. The candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in this sector.
An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be 1.0FTE and will include evenings and weekends according to demand.
