The vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Portfolio Management team in our Manchester office.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting in the production and maintenance of financial models to support Portfolio Management decisions for a pan-European Fund management business
  • Monitoring and analysing investment performance against business plan with an ability to identify potential risks and opportunities before they arise
  • Supporting potential restructuring and sale activities, understanding complex structures and providing analysis to support decision making
  • Establishing effective relationships with internal and external partners, including investors and operational platforms
  • Performing special projects/analysis and support in the preparation of business plans and Fund valuations

Is this you?

  • Strong academic background, ideally within a quantitative discipline, e.g. STEM fields(s), Economics, Finance
  • Relevant work experience gained in a similar role
  • Strong MS Excel skills – with support, the role holder will be required to design and build complex financial models
  • Comfortable working with large data sets, identifying and presenting key insights
  • A high degree of attention to detail with the ability to consolidate and interpret complex information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • A self-motivated individual capable of using own initiative to drive improvements in processes
  • A desire to pursue a career within investment management and / or corporate finance
