This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

Inspire has been supporting adults with learning disabilities in Moray for over 30 years and today operates two services in the area, enabling local adults with additional support needs to get the most out of life.

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Support Manager (39 hours per week) - to lead the small teams of dedicated staff at our services in Elgin and Archiestown and enable the people we support there to fulfil their ambitions and play a full and active role within their community.

Inspire’s Moray services are currently home to eight people, both male and female, and ranging in age from their late 20’s to mid-70’s. They have a variety of hobbies and interests including football, music, bowling and country and western dances.

There are well-established staff teams at both services, and an Assistant Support Manager, and we are looking for a Senior Support Manager who is a confident leader and skilled in motivating and encouraging colleagues to develop personally and provide the best support they can to those in their care.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their social care career and utilise the skills and experience they have gained in previous roles.

A Level 4 SVQ in Care/Management is desirable – although the post-holder will need to undertake this qualification if appointed and as an SQA accredited centre Inspire can support this in-house. Of greater importance, however, is that you share our values and can promote and encourage independence, while developing real life skills with the people we support to empower them to make the most of life.

Working with Inspire can be challenging but it is also extremely rewarding. If you want to be a part of something truly worthwhile, and you have a caring nature, are respectful, compassionate, nurturing and inclusive - and have the necessary people skills and experience to help lead a team - then we would love to hear from you.

The salary for this role is expected to be between £33,952 and £37,077. Upon joining Inspire you will also benefit from access to a group pension scheme; 6 X life assurance; chance to buy annual leave; and more.

So why not come, join us at Inspire and help us continue supporting those who currently call Moray home to live fulfilled and happy lives.

Work with us to support people with learning disabilities and additional support needs. Empower life choices.

At Inspire, we believe that the people we support should be at the heart of all that we do. This influences the way that we approach our work, both with individuals and how we operate as an organisation.

As an early pioneer of person-centred planning in the North East of Scotland, we recognise that we need to take time to understand each person as a unique individual. We work with the person and their family, friends and others who support them, to develop a plan. This approach recognises that each person has their own gifts, talents, routines, interests, needs and wishes – and most importantly - empowers the people we support to make life choices based on what is important to them.
