Scheme Manager - Females

Salary: £28,719 a year

This is a Permanent, Salaried vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for a Scheme Manager to manage the team at our female scheme, making sure everyone has the right support, training and tools to work independently and confidently. You’ll make sure customers receive the right support to maintain their tenancy and develop positive relationships with community partners too. 

 

Job requirements 

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of Concrete’s 24/7 female accommodation service. This includes overseeing building management and building security. 

  • Be visible and available to all staff on-site and provide support, advice and guidance. 

  • Lead on recruitment, selection and induction of new staff and make sure each member of staff is supported and trained with a clear understanding of their responsibilities. 

  • Lead on referrals to the scheme. This may include working with external agencies through multi-agency panels. 

  • Provide advice on training and employment and have an up-to-date understanding of UK housing laws. 

  • Oversee regular house meetings with residents and staff, making sure that the voice of lived experience is acted on.  

  • Work proactively with your team and internal departments to make sure rooms are available for use, voids are pre-empted, and void turnaround time is minimised. 

 

What we’re looking for 

  • A professional housing qualification or equivalent experience. 

  • Two years’ experience working in a residential/hostel environment. 

  • Some experience working with vulnerable people. 

  • Experience managing or supervising staff or be willing to develop management skills. 

  • Someone with a positive, values-driven style of leadership and management. 

  • Great communication skills. 

  • Someone with a genuine understanding and compassion for people without a home, who won’t judge but instead will empower customers and give them a voice.
