Are you an experienced and passionate Housing professional who is ready to embrace new career challenges in 2023.

In this post you will have an opportunity to make a difference to our tenants’ lives, assisting them to establish and maintain successful, sustainable tenancies providing a brilliant customer service at all times.

About us

We are an award-winning not for profit housing association that currently owns over 8,600 homes across County Durham.  We offer more than just a home. We help improve the lives of the people living in our homes and in our places.  We work hard to make sure those homes are high quality, sustainable and adaptable, while meeting tenants’ current and future aspirations. We offer support that help people into work and training and increase their financial confidence and stability.

There is no Plan B. There is no Planet B either. Now in the third and final phase of our nine-year Plan A, our strategy for 2022-25 and beyond requires ourselves, our suppliers, partners, and customers to raise our game with a primary focus on supporting sustainable places. To achieve this our new build and acquisition programme, regeneration work and home improvement programme will all be focused on improving lives through sustainable homes and places.

About the role

Our Housing Advisers manage a demanding and complex caseload of tenancies delivering personalised interventions that reflect the varied circumstances and support needs of our customers.

With ownership of all tenancy management issues across a geographical patch they are involved in a diverse range of activities from applicant shortlisting to anti-social behaviour interventions, from community regeneration programmes to safeguarding referrals.

About you

Putting the tenants at the heart of all you do comes naturally to you. You will be an experienced, self-assured, and confident housing professional with proven experience of supporting customers to sustain tenancies and will have the organisational skills to prioritise a demanding workload and maintain high standards of quality in all aspects of the role.

The ability to provide a high quality, proactive, and responsive ASB management service to residents and support services will be essential.
