Within this role you will be responsible for the planning, execution, reporting and oversight of all aspects of the Capquest resilience posture through Technology and Continuity alignments to the Business and Regulatory requirements and Risk appetite.

The role will be based remotely with combined visits at our Manchester office.

What will you be doing?

  •  Develop, maintain, write and publish testing activities for IT business resumption plans including recovery action testing and validation against each IBS (Important Business System)
  •  Ensure IT Resilience and System Continuity is embedded at all elements of Change (PMO led broader change and small change level). Ensure that at all new changes against supporting systems are documented, Technology run books are updated and trained out
  •  Working with the Continuity Lead to ensure that the technology run books are maintained
  • Working with the technologies leads to test and annually exercise the Technology run books
  • Ensure annual technology testing at a service and component level is exercised
  • Contribute to the collation of the risk dashboard, ensuring the technology risks are described and documented
  • Identify and remediate any gaps within the supporting IT Continuity and DR plans
  • Align with and compliment the IT security incident process with the Crisis Management process
  • Complete testing plans, scenarios and execute scheduled testing plans
  • Complete Board level MI packs demonstrating the month on month and improving position against IT resilience
  • Perform Crisis Management execution at set scenario trigger points
  • Assist in maintaining the crisis management framework, ensuring all component parts are current, correct and aligned to regulatory requirements. Ensuring testing – tabletop and manual execution – is carried out to ensure validity and effectiveness of the plan on at least an annual basis
  • Act as subject matter expert areas and to feed into the roadmap process in collaboration with the Capquest IT Team

Is this you?

  • Track record of designing and delivering IT Technology continuity solutions in financial services in line with specific reference to alignment to the various regulated standards requirements
  • Solid experience in preparing and structuring detailed live Management Information around demonstration to C suite and Executives, as well as positioning reporting for external consumption
  • Transformation / engagement on modern IT resilience, continuity principles and delivery.
  • Able to demonstrate strong management skills including project management, financial management, change management and facilitation
  • Desirable: strong experience within financial industry, familiarity with relevant standards and regulations e.g., PCI DSS, FCA, Sys C, GDPR
  • Experience and understanding of ITIL and continual service improvement
  • BSI aligned accreditation would be desirable
  • Experience of assessing against and aligning to ISO 22301
