Purpose of the Job
To support the positive financial direction of the business by :
gathering financial and operational data
evaluating, analysing and assessing data
developing dashboards and reports to measure and drive performance
presenting reports to directors, managers and other members of the team to support decisions that help Keylite to remain competitive
contributing to projects designed to increase sales and/or gross margin.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
Design and deliver management information and business intelligence to enable quick and thorough insights into the state of the business and drive commercial decision-making
Recommend appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance
Determine the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting dashboards needed to drive performance
Develop reporting tools and dashboards to allow teams to easily and effectively self-serve
Support colleagues in the development of their analytics knowledge
Contribute to projects that increase sales and improve gross margin
Drive the automation and streamlining of reporting
Ensure data integrity throughout the reporting cycle
Use data from a wide range of sources to understand the commercial environment, inform the Sales Team and provide effective support to drive project initiatives
Create and maintain high quality process and user documentation
Support production of professional presentations on key findings and recommendations for a range of audiences, promoting self-serve content where appropriate
Produce ad hoc analyses and reports as required
Implement effective task planning methodology to manage workload and user expectations
OTHER DUTIES

Manage relationships with existing customers, contractors, other professionals, suppliers and staff

Ensure that decisions made by the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team are actioned within agreed timescales
Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the company
Ensure a flexible approach to working hours to fulfil the requirements of the post and meet project deadlines
Be prepared to travel to and between sites as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the post and meet project deadlines
Qualifications and Core Skills
Commitment to providing a high quality service to internal and external customers, building partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills (including extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Pivot or equivalent)
Proven ability to interpret and apply key financial indicators to improve business decisions
Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory, information to effectively solve problems
Unquestionable professional ethics and integrity
Ability to proactively resolve day-to-day operational issues and to effect process improvements
Strong organisational skills in terms of work planning and time management
Ability to lead from the front, challenge appropriately and work as a member of a team to meet demanding deadlines
Full UK driving licence
Experience
Essential
2+ years experience in a similar role
Demonstrable experience in the advanced use of Microsoft Excel and Power Pivot or equivalent for data analysis and reporting
Detailed working knowledge of Power BI or equivalent
Proven experience of managing multiple, cross-functional projects and influencing key stakeholder decision-making
Desirable
Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA or equivalent)
