The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an initial temporary post for 12 months to help drive the development of the North East Migration Partnership.
You will work closely with the Manager and small team to help develop communications and information for resettlement and asylum seeker dispersal programmes in the region.
The Partnership is part of a national network of Migration Partnerships, linking up work across the country and Devolved Administrations, supporting and coordinating migration and refugee schemes launched by central government.
The Partnership brings together representatives from the Home Office, Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) alongside other statutory agencies such as Local Authorities, the Police and the Department of Work and Pensions, as well as voluntary and private sector organisations who deliver asylum and refugee services.
Part of a small strategic team, this role is a good opportunity for those looking to develop a career in local government or policy and information development. Your role will be to develop and design key business information and data flow for our stakeholders as well as review and keep partners up to date on national policy changes.
Helping to drive forward improvements working with our partners and supporting other members of the team on key projects you will seek creative solutions to issues as well as sharing good practice and learning.
Working with stakeholders and funders to promote the activity and the development of the Partnership; fostering a collaborative approach to progressing migration issues and the delivery of external grant funded outcomes.
You will assist with major projects as well as directly managing data and information flow for the Partnership and key projects. Working with partners, helping to improve partnership coordination and business information and understanding. You will provide support and input to a varied work programme for the region and the Partnership annual business plan.
