Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey where your passion and caring nature truly makes a difference? We're seeking dedicated health care professional to join our team as an Adults Palliative Care Support Workers (PCSW) based in our IPU (Inpatient Unit).

Working hours are on a rota basis with various shifts across 24hrs, including night shifts, weekends and Bank Holidays. 

You will play a vital role in offering professional and compassionate healthcare support to patients and their families navigating the challenges of illness progression and end-of-life care.

What you’ll do

  • Providing hands on care within Keech Hospice Care in-patient unit
  • Navigate patients seamlessly through various services, creating a profound positive impact on their lives.
  • Provide a holistic palliative care crisis intervention service that supports patients and their carers
  • Keep accurate, contemporaneous records and ensuring that care aligns with each individual patient's unique care plan.
  • Your responsibilities may include personal care, post-hospital home visits, emotional support.

What you need

  • Hold a NVQ Level 2/3 in Heath Studies and awareness of palliative care.
  • Previous experience in the community or a hospice/care setting, reflecting your commitment to compassionate care.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Showcase self-motivation and initiative, especially when extending compassionate care in the community.
  • A valid UK driving license for a minimum of two years is essential.
