We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Senior Design Engineer within our Product Development team.
In a nutshell you will be responsible for:
Leading design engineering project delivery for bathtubs and sinks, focusing on project deliverables and conforming to, and maintaining, processes in order to bring designs within the luxury bathroom and kitchen sector to life. In addition, you will support the management of stakeholder expectations and help ensure projects are delivered to specification, in budget and on time.
What you are already great at:
Leading design engineering activities utilizing 3D Experience, SolidWorks, Catia and other software as required. This includes creation of 3D CAD, 2D production drawings, top level tooling, design specifications and validations as well as other product specific requirements
Creation of design validation activities and processes inclusive of FEAs where relevant
Supporting the business’ Stage gate processes ensuring resource allocation is valid and maintained and scheduling is up to date
Continued development of the business platforming activities within the department with a view to expanding as well as exploring and bringing in efficiencies
Supporting the creation and validation of technical literature and other visuals
Supporting ideation and design activities as required
Creating and maintaining documentation including DFMEA, DFM, and PPAP activities as well as tracking against these activities
Ensuring ECN activities are conducted, and process is continued to be reviewed and followed
Mentoring other members of the team
Continuous improvement of design engineering processes, bringing better ways of working to the business by working with process disciplines to explore, define and create the opportunities
Deputize in the absence of the Product Development Manager
For this role we would need you to demonstrate:
Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
8+ years of experience within design engineering
Knowledgeable in surfacing and continuity in a CAD environment
Knowledgeable of tooling
Ability to work to tight timelines and to conflicting and changing priorities
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite for design engineering activities
Experience working to compliance and internal standards and specifications
