Field Service Engineers (Specialist Vehicles) Required - Immediate Start!! – M11 (Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk)
Dawsongroup ¦ emc is a part of the Dawsongroup, is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive Municipal, industrial and specialist vehicles for contract hire. This exciting opportunity will focus on the servicing, maintenance and repairing of a full range of specialist municipal vehicles including Gully Tankers, Refuse Vehicles Tippers/Tipper grabs and Road sweepers.
Position Overview:
As a Field Service Engineer you will be working on a full range of sweeper machines, refuse vehicles and gully tankers. You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Fault diagnosis, repair and routine maintenance of specialist vehicles and other company equipment.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines.
Evaluating, modifying, and preparing machines for hire at Dawsongroup emc depots and customers locations.
First Line Repair, Fault Reporting for second line repairs and providing technical advice to third party engineers where required.
The successful Field Service Engineer will hold:
Min level 2 qualification (Mechanical and or Electrical)
Be trained engineer/fitter, having worked on vehicles listed above, with knowledge and experience of engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrics and braking systems
Be trained to carry out routine inspections and servicing, tank tests on pressure vessels, LOLER test on bin lifting equipment, cranes and grabs’
Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits or sweeper vehicles.
HGV trained and LGC Class C Licence would be advantageous, but not essential
Hold a full, clean UK driving licence
