Gamma is a leading supplier of Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS): we provide voice, data and mobile products and services to the UK, German, Spanish and Benelux business markets.

Gamma is expanding its UCaaS presence in Europe with a family of businesses focusing on digital automation, delivering Gamma-powered services to SME customers via a network of channel partners in Germany, Spain, and the Benelux region.

Main purpose of role:

Provide support to the Indirect finance team in the preparation of the monthly management accounts. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Indirect finance team in the preparation of the monthly management accounts.  Including:
    • Month end duties – including accruals & prepayments
    • Intercompany reconciliations
    • Detailed reconciliations
    • Updating monthly forex rates
    •  Preparation of month end journals for accruals and prepayments
    • Roll forward monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reports to summarise costs for business cost centre managers
    • Update monthly reports with information from the accounting system
    • Assist management accountants with investigating and explaining variances to budget and explaining costs incurred each month
  • Assisting with the year end and half year audits

Experience and skills:

  • Ideally you are studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA,CIMA)
  • Knowledge of month end processes
  • Good time management and task prioritisation skills to ensure deadlines are met and to standard
  • A good communicator with different levels in an organisation, and to both finance and non-finance people
  • Self driven with an ability to work on own and as part of a team
  • Ability to be hands on with day-to-day accounting as required

This is a hybrid role being in the office 3 days a week in our Newbury office.
